Summary

460m2, 4 bedrooms

Winner of six Master Builder House of the Year 2014 awards, this stunning 460 square metre four bedroom home set high above Sumner features massive north facing glass windows, providing incredible views out over the Pacific Ocean and surrounding area.

The construction features concrete tilt panels with a beautiful cedar and Gibstone Valley schist exterior, complemented by a glass cornered swimming pool. The home interior, designed by USA based architect Michael H Visich, features Italian fixtures and fittings, a designer kitchen and joinery and a double height cantilevered media room.

Both the clients and architect were based overseas through the duration of this project. Being set atop a steep hill with limited site access and an earthquake striking mid-way through the construction of this home ensured a challenging yet extremely rewarding construction process.

“Without a doubt the house that Chris and his team built for us in Sumner has been constructed to a quality standard higher than any other property we have purchased. They have a first class work force, the building team’s attitude was always one of ‘how can we make what you want happen’. We are pleased to be able to endorse and recommend the services of Chris Beer Architectural Builders.”
